PURPOSE OF HN EXPLAINERS
HN Explainers provide a comprehensive explanation of terms and definitions used in the global hotel/hospitality industry. Similar to a known format, HN Explainers can be seen as "Hospitality for Dummies"... or a "Wikipedia-style" collection of articles that decipher, decode, teach and illustrate the workings of our industry. See samples.
An HN Explainer article should respect the following guidelines:
Prepare your Explainer in a standard text document.
Feel free to include images/graphics, and hyperlinks to external sources.
Explainer Title: The title includes the actual term or definition you wish to explain (i.e. Revenue Management or ADR, or Management Contract, Hotel Franchise, Food-Cost, Rooms Division etc.). See below for some Explainer Title samples.
Explainer Body-Text: Please try to stick to a maximum of 800 words.
If your explainer includes images, please email them in JPG or PNG format to [email protected].
Your Explainer should be 100% non-commercial and cannot include names or links to commercial products or suppliers.
